Dacula, Georgia - Representative Farooq Mughal recently introduced legislation to help Georgia families. HB 1354 is a bill aimed to assist Georgia families. This bill will exempt sales tax on child diapers, vitamins, car seats, other items used for child rearing from prenatal through age five, as well as adult diapers, vitamins, wheelchairs, and walking devices. Representative Mughal understands the financial toll in raising a family, especially young children, and new families. He aims to soften the financial burden families face in times of change and growth. By exempting sales tax, this will allow families to keep more of their money.
