Georgia's Dacula, October 2024: HB 1354 is a law introduced by state representative Farooq Mughal that is intended to help Georgian families. This measure would exempt adult diapers, vitamins, wheelchairs, and walking aids from sales tax, as well as car seats, diapers for children, vitamins, and other commodities used for child rearing from pregnancy until age five.
The financial burden of raising a family, particularly small children, and new families, is something Representative Mughal is aware of. In these times of transition and expansion, he wants to lessen the financial strain families must bear. This will let families keep more of their money by removing the sales tax. Farooq Mughal will keep promoting the prosperity and well-being of both young and old families.
