SB 175 Vote Exposes Sandy Donatucci’s Disconnect From Our Community

Rep. Sandy Donnatucci’s vote for SB 175 makes one thing clear: she’s not listening to the people of this district—she’s listening to the far-right who want to take Georgia back to the era of Jim Crow segregation.

Our communities have been clear: we don’t want taxpayer dollars spent propping up Confederate monuments that glorify Georgia’s history of slavery and racial oppression. These monuments aren’t about “heritage”; they honor a past where Black families were enslaved, exploited, and denied basic humanity. Georgians deserve leaders focused on real issues, i.e., cost of living, schools, healthcare—not politicians trying to resurrect symbols of a Georgia built on bondage and plantation rule.

This vote shows just how out of touch she is with the people she’s supposed to represent.

We deserve better, and that's why I'm running to beat her in November and get back to what matters to the people of this district.
